This Sunday is something special. We will be doing a "Church Swap" with our friends from One Stone Nashville. Pastor Mark Lancaster is coming to bring the word at Southview and our own Pastor Mark gets the amazing opportunity to bring the word at One Stone, located in East Nashville. He will be here for both services (9:15/11:30am).
So Southview, show up, come strong and "shout him down" with a lot of amens. We can't wait for you to hear the message he's bringing. We love unity in the Body of Christ and this Sunday will be powerful.
Family groups meet all throughout the city, and they are as simple as people doing life with each other in smaller gatherings. Whether over coffee, a meal, hanging or getting to know more about God together, this is the way to discover how important it is to have "family". Everyone is invited and everyone has a home. Find a Family Group.
It's almost JULY 3rd! Yup July 3rd! The day we celebrate before the celebration. 🤔🇺🇸🎉
Join us for our annual July 3rd party this Monday at THOMPSONS STATION PARK at 5pm. Food, games, contests and a dance party / lipsync time. Did we mention it will be a lot of fun? Come together as we all get to celebrate our great country and our amazing church family.
All you need to bring is some food. If your last name ends in A-M bring a side dish 🥗. If it ends in N-Z bring a dessert 🍰. We will have plenty of hot dogs and drinks 🌭🥛.
Because of the holiday weekend, and because of our amazing July 3rd party, SALT 513 Service on the 2nd will be canceled. Come ready to party on the 3rd!
Sometimes a Sunday morning sermon isn't enough time to express everything.
Pastor Mark has created a Facebook page for further dialog and thoughts surrounding the message of the gospel, the heart of Southview Church and the plan to bless and unify the Church of Nashville. Sometimes we need to be reminded of God's goodness on Wednesday or want to reconnect with Sunday's sermon on a Friday. This page is for that.
Like this page to stay connected.
Just a reminder our Jr and Sr high school ministry, SALT is still meeting on Sunday nights at 5:13-7pm throughout the summertime. This is a time of friendship, bible study, worship and fun. Join us.
This month we are partnering with Center of Hope to help survivors of domestic violence. Center of Hope is a comprehensive agency whose services include shelter, crisis counseling, court advocacy and other advocacy services. Over the years they have built upon their resources to include victims of sexual violence and stalking, as well as male victims.
Southview, in partnership with Local Initiative, gets the privilege of helping them meet their most important needs list items for their survivors as well as leading a service project to help improve their shelter. We will be doing landscaping, cleaning gutters, power washing their deck/exterior and helping in any other way that is needed.
You can join us!
Local Initiative will be doing the service project on Saturday, June 24. If you would like to participate then sign up on the form here:

This Sunday we end our Church in the Wild series with "The Wild Stories". Four stories of God moving and intervening within the lives of His people. Two stories for each service....so why not consider attending BOTH services (9:15/11:30AM) to hear them all. It will be time well spent and you won't regret it.
Invite others to come ready to receive the blessing and power of the testimony. Don't Miss this Sunday! #CITW
This Friday our team will be spending most of the day serving and ministering to those attending Bonnaroo right here in our back yard in Manchester, TN. Through music, evangelism and prayer, we are believing for many people to be changed by the love of Holy Spirit. We are partnering with other local ministries and churches to surround this whole event in love.
Would you be praying specifically for our team as they are on the grounds from 2-8pm on Friday the 9th? Even if you can't attend, you can serve through your prayers for us and for this city.
This month, Southview will be featuring Center of Hope for Missions Sunday (June 18th). Center of Hope is the only domestic abuse center in Maury County. They serve women, children (and men) that have experienced domestic violence, sexual or physical abuse from boyfriend/girlfriend, sexual assault.
Center of Hope is a refuge of peaceful existence providing innovative and compassionate direct advocacy, therapeutic counseling, and residential services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. As a leading resource for system change, Center of Hope’s goal is to provide meaningful and effective support while addressing the attitudes and behaviors which allow violence to continue in our community. Our comprehensive program ensures that the needs of the victims we serve are met in a holistic and compassionate manner by equipping and empowering them with the skills they need to move beyond the trauma and onto the fulfilling lives they deserve.
Also, Local Initiative will be doing a service project for Center of Hope and helping them with getting items from their "needs" list. The service project will be Saturday, June 24th. We'll be doing landscaping, power washing the deck/exterior, clean gutters, etc.
Mark your calendars for our annual July 3rd Picnic at Thompsons' Station Park. This year it will start at 5pm and there will be more details to follow....don't miss this.
